
Walking is simple, free and one of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight and become healthier. Sometimes overlooked as a form of exercise, walking briskly can help you build stamina, burn excess calories and make your heart healthier.
The Swaffham & District U3A Walking Group meets on the second Thursday of each month, with walks starting promptly at 10am. Our routes typically range from 3.5 to 5 miles and the start point is usually within a half hour of Swaffham.
We explore the scenic countryside of Norfolk taking in footpaths, bridleways, tracks, and quiet country lanes. Each walk offers the chance to enjoy the landscape, spot local wildlife, understand the history of the area and share good company.
