Let's Go is a group for people who want to attend events (concerts, plays, cinema, art galleries, quizzes or just coffee and a chat), but want like minded people to share the experience. Our Garden Visits Group had a private visit to Dunbheagan Garden. It was hot, but all members had a wonderful time in this inspirational garden. Amazing tea, coffee and cakes rounded off the visit nicely. For more details of the Garden Visit Group Garden Visits - Swaffham and District

Our Monthly MeetingThursday 2nd July at 10:00am: we had a Paula Hall from the Purfleet Trust in Kings Lynn coming to talk about the work they have carried out for 30 years to help those who have been made homeless. If you enjoy being sociable and making new friends, you have come to the right place. u3a is one of the largest membership organisations in the UK. You can read more HERE and HERE about the impact of the u3a on positive ageing.
If you have some time to spare, why not develop existing interests and explore new ones through our Interest Groups? Our members learn for fun in retirement.

Swaffham & District members run more than 30 Interest Groups – ranging across the creative, the educational, the physical and the social. From Walking to Wine Appreciation, Art to AI, Playscripts to Photography, Card Making to Creative Writing, Science to Shakespeare, Table Tennis to Rock Music … the list goes on - and more are being added. The Groups are self-chosen and run by the members themselves.

What other u3a members say:
"Suddenly on my own after many years, my u3a membership made me 'brave' enough to venture out and meet new people. Such a friendly group, I love it!"
"It's about having fun and socialising. You meet new people with a common interest and you will find many other interests that you share with them."
"Retiring to a new area, my family were concerned I would feel isolated - well, I have never been busier, more social or enjoyed learning so much!"
