We are a friendly easy-going group who enjoy a monthly ramble together and are not serious walkers! Our rambles are planned to be between about 3 and 4 miles long and are usually in the countryside or forest within about a 30 minute drive from Swaffham, following local footpaths or visiting open spaces or nature reserves.
During our walks we often stop to investigate local places of interest such as churches or historic monuments and we usually finish with lunch in a local pub or café.
The timing of our walks can vary a little depending on the venue and time of year. We meet at the start of the walk, although as members of the group come from Swaffham and the surrounding villages lifts could be arranged if necessary.

Occasionally we venture further afield, visiting the coast in summer or exploring a town walk in winter. Group members help plan the walks programme and many offer to lead walks so that we have a varied programme visiting different places which everyone can enjoy.
We would love to have some new members. All you need is some enthusiasm for getting out and about and a good pair of walking boots or shoes as it can sometimes be muddy!
If you are interested in joining the group (you must already be a member of the Swaffham & District u3a) or want more information, please contact Group Co-ordinator: Cathy Marriage.
