Playscript Group 1 is looking for a new Group Leader. Meetings are on hold in the meantime.
We meet every month with up to 8 play readers. We get sets of plays from the library, or use on-line scripts (a popular choice).
We are pretty evenly split between men and women members, but if the parts demand it, we will take on any gender! Neighbours tell me they know when it is our monthly meeting because you can hear the laughter down the road! You don`t need acting experience, just be prepared to have a go.
We connect a laptop to a display screen, so that we can all read from a single large display. This saves on printing, which is more ecological, and can be convenient, if trips to the library are not possible. We also use phones, tablets and ipads ( if you have them, bring them!).
Scripts are emailed out in advance, if electronic.
We inform each other if plays are to be performed locally, and might book for a particular date. This sometimes ties in with Swaffham & District's Let's Go Group.
You don`t have to be a great actor - just prepared to have fun!
