The Art Group is a very friendly group of amateur artists who share a love of art, have a variety of experience in different mediums and enjoy trying new things. The group welcomes anyone of any ability or experience. We have members who hadn’t painted for many years or were beginners.
We do not have a tutor but are always happy to share our knowledge, ideas and expertise. We meet twice a month and although we set a ‘theme’ for each session (for example, motion or seascapes) members often just ‘do their thing’. We all bring our own drawing and painting equipment and work as appropriate in watercolours, acrylics, oils or mixed media. We are a sociable and supportive group and stop midway each session for refreshments and a chat.
